R&D MANAGER- SOFIA
Location: Sofia, Bulgaria

Industry: FMCG / Food Manufacturing

THE JOB

• Lead the R&D team and manage product development projects from concept to market launch.
• Develop new bakery mixes, sourdoughs, and premixes in line with customer needs and market trends.
• Improve existing formulations, processes, and product performance.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate closely with QA, Production, and Marketing departments.
• Monitor industry trends, raw materials, and technologies to support innovation.

THE PERSON

• University degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in product development / R&D in the food or FMCG sector.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and formulation processes.
• Excellent computer skills – MS Office; SAP knowledge is a plus.
• Good command of English (B2 level or higher) and a valid Category B driving license.
• Leadership and team management skills, creativity, analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong communication, and adaptability.

QA & QC MANAGER- SOFIA
Location: Sofia, Bulgaria

Industry: FMCG / Food Manufacturing

THE JOB

• Lead the QA/QC team and achieve team KPIs.
• Implement and maintain quality management systems in accordance with GFSI/group standards.
• Oversee raw material reception, production processes, and laboratory activities.
• Manage audits, certifications, and supplier compliance.
• Handle non-compliance issues, customer complaints, and corrective actions.
• Maintain HACCP manual and organize staff quality training programs.

THE PERSON

• Higher education in Food Industry, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
• GFSI certification (minimum FSSC 22000 v6).
• Minimum 5 years of proven QA/QC experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office; SAP knowledge is a plus.
• B2 English and a valid Category B driving license.
• Strong leadership, critical thinking, attention to detail, adaptability, and effective communication skills.
