We are looking for a FINANCIAL DIRECTOR for our international Client in the manufacturing industry.
FINANCE DIRECTOR
LOCATION: Athens, Greece
INDUSTRY: Manufacturing
THE JOB
- Responsible for overseeing all operational areas effecting the business globally, including Planning and Forecasting, Asset Management, Manufacturing /Costing, and ad hoc analysis as required.
- Working capital management
- Manage the production of monthly management reports/assessments, forecasting of financial performance against budgeted financial and operational goials
- Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, risk assessment for the business financial reports and financial trends in order to assist Business Leadership in performing their responsibilities.
- Budget (incl. capital expenditure) planning and management
- Leads the finance businesses’ development of key performance metrics and tracks performance over time.
- Managing certain tax and other regulatory reporting (financial audits & year end teax filings)
- Manage day to day processing of accounts – managing reconciliations generating monthly and year-end closing reports
- Manage the team inb the financial and administrative functions & set / monitor targets
THE PERSON
- Bachelor and/or Master degree in Finance/Accounting.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in finance/accounting, including exposure to manufacturing operations.
- Minimum 5 years demonstrated supervisory experience, along with a solid accounting background and excellent communication skills.
- Strong initiative, leadership, thinking and problem solving, financial analysis and communication skills.
- Superior technical financial skills, balanced with sound business judgment, including the ability to balance financial and operational factors, analyze complex business problems and develop appropriate solutions
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers

THE JOB:
Leadership & Strategic Management
- Provide operative leadership to the Quality Department,
- Define, develop, and continuously improve the organization’s quality strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Actively support the implementation of a matrix organization, representing the quality perspective in restructuring initiatives.
Quality & Performance Management
- Define and manage the annual quality budget and monitor financial performance, including project-related quality costs.
- Implement and maintain a robust non-conformity cost management system to reduce waste and drive profitability.
- Oversee and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO and other applicable standards.
- Define and communicate quality KPIs, performance indices, and quality-related updates across all departments.
Auditing & Compliance
- Lead the organization, execution, and follow-up of internal and external audits.
- Oversee audit readiness, ensuring teams are fully prepared for customer, third-party, and regulatory inspections.
- Organize and lead Management Reviews, providing insights and driving accountability.
Team Support & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Act as a technical and managerial escalation point, supporting subordinates in resolving quality-related challenges.
- Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement across all levels of the organization.
- Prepare and deliver regular quality reports to senior leadership, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.
THE PERSON:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in quality management roles within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards, quality systems, and non-conformance management
- Proven leadership of cross-functional quality teams in a matrix or multi-site setting
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and reporting skills
- Fluent in English, native Hungarian
