We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our international Client's team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial records. You will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks, analyzing financial data, preparing financial reports, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team but has no direct report locally.
SENIOR ACCOUNTANT / CHIEF ACCOUNTANT
Location: Budapest, Buda, II.district (hybrid, 3 days/week/office)

THE JOB
- To manage the work of the SSC's day-to-day accounting tasks,
- Timely & accurate communication with finance SSC in order to receive quality financial service
- Manage daily/monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting & booking process
- Deliver B/S & P&L and other statistical data for the Group on quarterly and/or monthly base
- Preparation of yearly Financial statement for the Hungarian entity
- Assist with budgeting & forecasting activities
- Ensuring compliance with local Hungarian tax regulations / prepare & submit all tax returns
- Managing & process AP processes (AP invoice booking, PO processes)
- Ensure the treasure management & banking functions operate in accordance to local legislation
- Provide support during the annual audit process
- Assisting the Finance Manager in analysis, projections, forecasts.
THE PERSON
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, minimum 5 years of related experience
- Proficiency in Excel & preferably in SAP
- Experience with financial statement preparation
- Knowledge of Hungarian tax regulations and compliance
- Detail oriented & highly organised
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Registered "Mérlegképes könyvelő"
- English Fluent, Native Hungarian
- Ability to work independently & collaboratively
