A family-owned real-estate investment group is looking for a reliable and well-rounded Finance & Operations Manager to support its day-to-day business activities. This is a hands-on role that covers a wide range of responsibilities, from managing financial processes to supporting real estate and project operations.

You’ll be working closely with the General Manager and will have the chance to contribute directly to the company’s efficiency and future development.

 

FINANCE & OPERATION MANAGER

 

LOCATION: Athens (downtown), Greece

INDUSTRY: Real Estate

 

THE JOB

  • Lead & Manage: Oversee accounting teams in 3 locations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

  • Budgeting & Cash Flow: Develop the group’s annual budget and provide cash flow allocation proposals that balance growth with shareholder returns.

  • Payment Oversight: Approve daily financial transactions submitted via the e-banking system.

  • Operational Efficiency: Identify and implement process automations and energy-saving upgrades across the group.

  • Project Supervision: Coordinate with contractors to ensure projects meet milestones, deadlines, and quality standards.

  • Cost Optimization: Develop and execute cost-cutting and restructuring initiatives to boost profitability.

  • Legal Coordination: Work with outsourced legal teams to ensure contracts align with business goals and protect group interests.

  • Risk Mitigation: Collaborate with external experts to reduce legal, tax, and compliance exposure.

  • Real Estate Strategy: Lead lease negotiations, renewals, and property deals to maximize revenue while minimizing risk.

 

 THE PERSON

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience including exposure to real estate, entrepreneur, family business & management skills
  • Strong initiative, leadership, thinking and problem solving, financial analysis and communication skills.
  • Previous experience in real estate or property management is an advantage.
  • English language is skills is a must beside native Greek
  • Good attention to detail and a practical mindset.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to manage projects independently and follow through on tasks.
  • Willingness to take initiative and wear multiple hats when needed.
