Our client, a well-established international manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Plant Manager / General Manager to lead and develop its production operations in Bulgaria. This is a senior leadership role with full operational and financial responsibility for the manufacturing site, focused on driving performance, operational excellence, and sustainable growth

 

PLANT MANAGER - BULGARIA

 

Location: Plovdiv, Bulgaria

THE JOB

  • Develop and execute the plant’s strategic and operational plans in alignment with corporate objectives

  • Lead change management initiatives and transformation projects to improve efficiency and competitiveness

  • Oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring high standards of productivity, safety, and quality

  • Optimize production planning, capacity utilization, and cost management

  • Ensure full compliance with local regulations and international manufacturing standards

  • Implement and monitor KPIs and performance management systems

  • Hold full P&L responsibility for the manufacturing site

  • Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reviews

  • Identify cost optimization and investment opportunities to support long-term growth

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, certifications, and operational best practices

 

 THE PERSON

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Manufacturing, or related field

  • Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience in plant management or general management within an international manufacturing environment

  • Strong financial acumen with proven P&L management experience

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence methodologies

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills

  • Fluent Bulgarian and English
